Crown Land of Ipperwash
Between 1965 and 1972, the Ontario Government purchased several parcels of land in Ipperwash.
Between 1965 to 2020 the lands were managed or cared for by Ontario Parks and/or the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests. Servicing these properties included repairing of wooden access structures, maintenance of the vault toilets, garbage collection, and grass cutting. Staff from either Ipperwash or Pinery Provincial Park would service these properties throughout the summer.
These properties are important to our Ipperwash community and have provided access to Lake Huron for non-waterfront residents and day-trippers.
CICA is committed to sharing information relating to these lands and is actively engaged with government officials to ensure our Ipperwash property owners have a seat at the table of any discussions.
