Over 100 members and guests came together on Dec. 7 to mark a milestone – the Port Franks Seniors club’s 45th anniversary.

With provincial, county and municipal certificates presented to club president Ernie Morenz by Lambton Shores Mayor and Lambton County Warden Bill Weber as well as a slideshow presentation and talk by Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation’s Lynn Eves, attendees got a chance to pay tribute to the long-running community organization and also consume a delicious turkey dinner courtesy of Watford’s Pat Edward.

The club’s Mary Capstick won Volunteer of the Year awards for her work with the Port Franks Seniors as well as other organizations such as the Red Hat Society and the Thedford Legion, while Maxine Czupryna finalized the silent auction, and is expecting to donate Christmas Hampers to local families in need.
